Welcome to the GEOS 440 Team 4 webpage for the Fall 2022 semester.


Team members: Douglas, Yoshiki, and Roxanne

Sensor: Adafruit SCD-30 NDIR CO2

Summary: We want to measure and observe CO2 levels in the classroom and lab with respect to the number of people present. The Glenn Hall classroom is an older building and has less sufficient ventilation while the Lab room located in the new Science Building has better ventilation. To do this we are using the Adafruit SCD-30 - NDIR CO2 Sensor to collect CO2 data. The sensor will be connected to the Arduino Duo which will allow us to document and analyze data in MatLab and the Arduino software. We are also interested in researching the effects that high levels of CO2 indoors has on people and their performance.
