Measurement of c
We actually know the speed of light c in m/s exactly, because we use c to define the meter. The real use of this lab is to gain some experience in using a lock-in amplifier, which is an extremely powerful lab tool.
There's some question as to whether it works at present. It worked extremely well several years ago, but the last two times it was tried the results were terrible. It's not been attempted in the last 5-6 years.
