 Ancient laws of gravity at work Students from Chico State University's Physics Department dressed as ancient Greek scientists Aristotle and Socrates (standing alone near the center of the photo) host the 17th annual pumpkin drop at Butte Hall Friday. The event demonstrates to school-age children how gravity works as pumpkins plunge from the building's fourth floor, getting blown to smithereens as they hit the ground.
