Sigma-Pi-Sigma Information

Sigma-Pi-Sigma is the Physics Honor Society. Membership is an honor reserved for outstanding physics students usually upon completion of their last year and professional physicists. Membership requirements for students include:

  • completion of three full-time semesters of college.
  • completion of four physics courses required for the physics major.
  • an overall GPA of at least 3.0 and a physics GPA of at least 3.3.

If you meet these criteria, please fill out the application and return it to the Sigma-Pi-Sigma Faculty Advisor. Note that Sigma-Pi-Sigma installations occur no more than once a year, usually in the spring.
